Zalia Joi

Zalia Joi is a seasoned, versatile performer.

She has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than three decades.

Her musical experience ranges from blues/ rock bands to intimate soirees, classical choirs to a saucy duo and acoustic cafe spots.

She has performed to 3000 people, in pubs and streets around Australia, Canada, Peru and Aruba, at openings for Art Exhibitions, Christmas concerts, to children and adults in hospital.

Zalia has sung many varied styles with many different bands. Cutting her teeth on blues and rock (Dr Brown Blues Band, Dead Set, Clown School, Loco), she joined the soul band CJ & the T Horns and sang in the tribute bands of David Bowie (Scott James), Pink Floyd (Pulse). She currently leads ABBA and Fleetwood Mac tribute bands, and performs in duos and trios.

Having the creative drive, she has collaborated on many different original projects - performing live and recording (Thirst, Acid, Sorcy, Sonic Adventurers, Dave Reynolds, visiting Indian Sikhs for their Sacred Hymns Album) and collaborating with other original artists.

Zalia has played in acoustic duos throughout Australia, playing guitar, singing lead and harmony vocals (Zulu Ant, Lemmon & Bicardi, Tongue 'n' Groove, Oracle, Norty & Saucy, Fromage).

She has won several singing competitions, including (2004) Subiaco Song Competition; (1998) Paddy Hannan's Karaoke Competition, Burswood Casino WA; (1994) Original song competition, James St Nightclub "Rainbow Blues".

Zalia's attention to detail, creative skills and absolute joy in entertaining ensures a very positive response from audiences of all ages.
