Miss B

Acoustic soloist Miss B (Barney Rauhina) arrived in Bunbury from her native New Zealand and has established herself as a popular, versatile entertainer in the South West.

Miss B enjoys getting her audience up and dancing as she performs a wide variety of musical styles - from Rock and Pop to Opera, R&B, Disco, Soul and Funk. Her shows highlight her talent in delivering Country, Light Jazz, Folk, Blues and Easy Listening numbers.

With extensive vocal and performance experience, Miss B loves live show productions. Her passion for music covers most genres and spans many years, ensuring audiences of all ages will have a memorable time.

Miss B's New Zealand career included an appearance on TV New Zealand's Coca Cola Christmas in the Park Concert at the Auckland Domain in 1994.

She also performed with the NZ National Maori Choir Opera as Lead Female Soprano Principal Singer and played the role of Kuini for the National Maori Choir's world premiere theatrical production of the opera "Ka Awatea" ("A New Dawn").

Having moved to Western Australia, she was named overall winner of the Chamber of Commerce Talent Competition in Port Hedland in 2001.

Through 2002-03 she won an audition to try out for the Walt Disney production of "The Lion King Show" (as the character Rafiki) in Sydney and was guest entertainer at the Sydney Aquarium-Carlson Marketing Company Christmas Party, which was voted Sydney's top corporate company Christmas party of the year. Miss B was also a singer in the international hit music video production in Sydney of "You're Game" for 2003 UK Pop Idol Will Young.

Other highlights included winning the Indy 3000 karaoke heats and grand final at Erskineville, Sydney and producing her own show, "Movie Themes and the Stars" at the Matt Dann Cultural Theatre, South Hedland.

Further gigs throughout NSW in the following years led to Pacific Jade Entertainment Group performances at venues around Sydney during 2007.

Having moved to the South West in 2008, Miss B was quick to become involved in the local entertainment scene, and was delighted to be named Entertainer of the Year at the Bunnings Golden Hammer Awards Night in Bunbury that year.

Since then she has performed at local venues and produced a number of her own events, including a '70s Night Show', 'The '50s and '60s and Motown Show' and "A Tribute to the Divas Show'.

Miss B specialises in Packaged Shows for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, fundraisers, dinners and banquets.

Her versatility is sure to engage audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
